If you're going to the movies this weekend?
This weekend I had the interesting pleasure of going out to the movies something I haven't done in a very long time. Still need to check out Vin Diesel and Paul Walker reuniting in Fast and Furious and of course I'll give you my opinion on that movie. I loved the original, the sequel was so-so and Tokyo Drift was why? Why? Why? But then again we can say the same thing about the recent Hanna Montana movie which Disney thought was a smash hit, but barely beat Fast and Furious in it's opening week, and was no where near the record amount of money Fast and Furious brought in on it's opening weekend. But Disney still continues to push Hanna Montana and milk her for all she's worth instead of listening to the true Disney fans out there that are asking for change, change in the form of bring back Disney and Disney Channel back to it's glory days of animation such as Gargoyles, and especially Kim Possible and American Dragon, Jake Long. But watch out true believers I'm sure Hanna Montana will be back with another sequel, hey this time they can put her in Tokyo like they did with the Fast and the Furious there's an idea for Disney executives if there listening let alone reading this.
Which brings me to the movie of the week for me and it's a fun film to see, harmless fun for the whole family. Not a great movie at best, and I'm talking about a Night at the Museum the sequel. I saw Night at the Museum and it was loads of fun especially Dick Van Dyke was totally awesome in that movie and is so missed in the sequel. If the producers of the sequel to Night at the Museum had any moxie they would have at least tried to get Dick Van Dyke to make a cameo, I mean the guy is a living legend and a star I greatly admire, respect and wish I could meet in person.
Now with that said; Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian is still a fun film to watch, not nearly as good as the original, but still lots of laughs, especially the Oscar the Grouch and Dark Vader sketch which is a must see. Other then that the film is typical Ben Stiller, though Owen Wilson is pretty fun in this one too. Robin Williams is Robin Williams nuff said there and to wrap it up, if you got nothing to do this weekend go see it. I mean Twentieth Century Fox would greatly appreciate you shelling out good money to see it and so would those cinemas that are playing it.
Before I wrap this up my last comment is Terminator Salvation, again why? With a capital W, why? I mean I'm one of the biggest Terminator fans out here. I love Arnie, and Terminator 2, Judgement Day was absolutely perfect. That's it the End! It should have been wrapped with that. Nothing can top that Terminator, not even the first one which was really good. And now we get to see Terminator Salvation without Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Edward Furlong, and Robert Patrick. No wonder Terminator Salvation got it's butt kicked at the box office by Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.

I still can't believe Night at the Smithsonian beat out Terminator at the box office - that is shocking!
Although I did enjoy the first Night at the Museum so I want to see this one, but I love Amy Adams so I'm sure it has some laughs and good times!
