Eoin Morgan won the toss and chose to field in the second and final Twenty20 International between India and England at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday (December 22). India made one change from the team that sealed a five-wicket win in the first T20I in Pune on Thursday, with Rohit Sharma being drafted in for Ravindra Jadeja.
England also made one change to the eleven that took part in the first game with Joe Root, who made an impressive Test debut in Nagpur, coming in for Danny Briggs. Briggs, the left-arm spinner, conceded 18 runs in his only over in Pune, with Yuvraj Singh hitting him for two sixes and a four. Morgan indicated that the change was prompted by a desire to strengthen the batting.
Speaking at the toss Dhoni said he would have preferred to bowl first, keeping in mind the chance that dew could be a factor later in the day. Dhoni also thought the Mumbai pitch may have a bit more bounce than the Pune pitch on which India beat England by five wickets.
