The Australians had already named their playing XI two days prior to the start of the match, so no surprises there. However, India churned out a shocker when they dropped successful left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojhafrom the team.

MS Dhoni will have two off-spinners at his disposal in Ravichandran Ashwin and Harbhajan Singh. Swing bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar gets a look in.

The match is being played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. The pitch looks good for batting, which is why Clarke had no hesitation in making use of it before it starts to turn.

Teams:

India: Murali Vijay, Virender Sehwag, Cheteshwar Pujara, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harbhajan Singh, Ishant Sharma
