Moises Henriques remained unbeaten on a defiant 75 and along with Nathan Lyon had added a dogged 57 run stand for the last wicket to frustrate India and force the match to Day 5. Aus led by 40.

Australia were all at sea against the spinners. At 9/175, an innings victory loomed large for India. However, Moises Henriques and Nathan Lyon showed the top order how to bat on this wicket. Henriques became the fifth Australian batsman to score two fifties on Test debut. Lyon has given him good support and Australia will hope that they can bat on.

For India, the three spinners did the bulk of the bowling. R Ashwin picked up his seventh five wicket haul as he flummoxed the Australians. Harbhajan Singh and Ravindra Jadeja picked up two wickets each. India will be looking to take this last wicket quickly and chase this target down in a canter.
