India vs England Live Score 2nd T20 Cricket Match 2012, Mumbai
England will be keen to return to winning ways and level the two-match T20 series against India. The second game is set for 22 December at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. MS Dhoni's side rebounded from a 2-1 defeat in the Test series, to post a convincing five wicket victory in the first T20 international at Pune, thanks to yet another brilliant all-round display from 2011 World Cup hero Yuvraj Singh.
The southpaw, who recently made his return to cricket from a year's lay-off to treat a rare germ cell cancer in his lungs, took three for 19 from his four overs to help limit England to 157. He returned to smash 38 from 21 balls and put his side on course for an easy win.
Eoin Morgan's squad showed promise but the young side's inexperience came to the fore several times in the game. Alex Hales (56 from 35) and Luke Wright (34 from 21) gave the visitors a fantastic start (89 for one from 10 overs) but they only managed a below-par total after the middle-order collapsed. Wicketkeeper Jos Butler (33 not out from 21) did some big-hitting towards the end, to ensure his team had something to bowl at.
In response, Gautam Gambhir (16) and Ajinkya Rahane (19) got India to a quick start (41 from four overs) but Tim Bresnan dismissed both openers in the same over to pull the game back for the tourists. However, once Yuvraj joined Virat Kohli (21) in the middle, the match turned in India's favour, as the former took Danny Briggs' left-arm spin to the cleaners. England managed to dismiss both batsmen eventually but the wickets came a little late as Suresh Raina (26) and Dhoni (24 not out) guided the hosts to victory.
