India will be looking to bounce back in the second Twenty20 international from the loss they suffered in Bangalore and level the two-match series at the Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera, here today.

The match will start early at 5pm to negate the effect of dew and that will give both the teams an equal chance irrespective of who wins the toss. 

It is also high time for India to plug the gaps having suffered consecutive losses in their last two Twenty20s - against England and Pakistan. 

Mahendra Singh Dhoni took some poor decisions in the first Twenty20 against Pakistan that cost the team heavily. Allowing Virat Kohli to bowl two overs and Ravindra Jadeja the last defied logic. 

The saving grace was the performance of debutant pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who finished with 3/9 on debut. Ashok Dinda, Ishant Sharma and Yuvraj Singh all leaked runs. 

The decision to keep Ravichandran Ashwin out of the match was baffling. In fact, Pakistan skipper Mohammed Hafeez went on record saying Ashwin's absence helped them. 

"This is the combination, they knew very well what they (wanted), Ashwin was not there in this team. So our plan was that if we play out the new ball, then their spinners are not world-class; I know Yuvraj is in great form, but when you don't have a world-class spinner then we can dominate," Hafeez said.  

It will be interesting to see if Dhoni might be tempted to play him in the must-win tie. 

The Indians had opted to go in with three specialist seamers or bring in a frontline spinner in Ashwin.

India will also have to sort our their batting woes. Gautam Gambhir and Ajinkya Rahane gave India a good start at 90 for two but a middle-order collapse saw the innings folding up for 133. 

Kohli, Dhoni, Yuvraj, Suresh Raina need to fire in unison against the arch-rivals. Dhoni wants his batsmen to apply themselves according to the situation. 

"The batsmen got out trying to play big shots. We could have easily scored 200 if we had applied ourselves," Dhoni had said. 

Dhoni's captaincy is also under pressure following the Test series loss against England. 

Pakistan will be looking forward to start the three-match ODI series on a positive note by winning the two-match Twenty20 series. They will again depend on their formidable bowling attack to nail the Indians.
