Indian Idol 6 winner : Vipul Mehta wins Rs 50 lakh grand finale !The winner of Indian Idol 6 also got a car, a bike, a record company contract, life insurance, and, of course, the trophy

It was a tough call – three boys, all from Punjab, all excellent singers with a great audience connect. But it is Vipul Mehta from Amritsar, who bagged the Indian Idol 6 title in Mumbai on Saturday night at a glittering grand finale.

The 21-year-old pipped Devendra Pal Singh, 17, and Amit Kumar, 20, for the winner’s trophy, a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh from Sony channel, a Nissan Micra car, a Suzuki Hayate bike, Rs. 3 lakh from Max Life Insurance and a contract to record his own music album.

Devinder should have won!!!! He was cheated of the title. But hopefully he will have a successful career! And Amit too. They were both such humble and sweet people with such great voices. Vipul on the other hand does not possess that same great personality nor do I think his voice is that great. I mean he was in the bottom two, Devinder was NEVER in the bottom.

i have watched indian idol from the very first day and i think there should have been top three prizes. i think devinder and amit also worked very hard and they should have gotten 2nd and 3rd prizes too, only then its fair!!it seems like vipul got everything were amit and devinder also were almost as good as vipul, they didnt get anything thats how it was showed on the tv.i just wish they also got something.

you're stupid.Vipul was obviously the best.Devindar was the most boring to listen to. He has no star quality, Vipul does.

Devendra pal should have won this by a landslide and Amit may be but not vipul mehta...judges should refrain from blurting out who their favourite is cause that sway the public opinion...
