Members of the Russian Communist party have called for the new Indiana Jones film to be banned in the county because they say it distorts history.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, set during the Cold War, sees Harrison Ford's character battle Cate Blanchett's evil KGB agent.

St Petersburg Communist Party chief Sergei Malinkovich told the Reuters news agency it was "rubbish".

"Why should we agree to that sort of lie and let the West trick our youth?"

Wow! Russian communists don't like a Hollywood movie.  Who cares?  They are Russian AND Communists.  I would ask why Russian Communists were spending their money supporting a capitalist business project anyway.  That is not very communist.  They should be out trying to convince the Russian youth that the good old days of Stalin were much better.  They didn't have to waste their time deciding what food to buy back then 'cuz it was stale bread and you were damn happy to line up for it.  And all this stupid media and stuff.  Back in the good old days the Party did all the reading for you and simply passed on what you needed to know.  Communists are funny people.  They will give you the shirt off their neighbour's back.
