Global Information News Says about injured Conan O'Brien

"NBC’s “Tonight” show was forced to broadcast a repeat rather than its regularly scheduled first-run show Friday night after the star, Conan O’Brien, hit his head while attempting a stunt during the show’s taping.

Mr. O’Brien could not continue with the show and was taken away for medical attention. NBC issued a brief statement saying only that Mr. O’Brien had “hit his head doing a stunt and the show was not finished.”

No other details were released. One staff member on the show said Mr. O’Brien was expected to be fine and it was likely he would be back to work on Monday.

NBC also released a statement attributed to Mr. O’Brien, which said, “Last thing I remember I was enjoying the play with Mrs. Lincoln and the next thing I knew I was in bed being served cookies and juice.”
