International Pillow Fight Day
All over the world, people will be gathering in public places, and they'll be packing pillows with which to pummel each other with puffiness. You might go so far as to call it a throw-down.
This is indeed a real event, and seems to be as much about making a statement about public gatherings in the face of "permit culture" as it is about hitting one another with pillows. The creators of this event even have a how-to guide
I remember seeing one of these in NYC's Union Square: I emerged from the
subway to see a gaggle of laughing urbanites belaboring each other with
bedding. I said, "... Cool..."
So, if your town is hosting a public pillow fight (or if you're creating one of you own) get out there and get busy! Oh, and send us some photos of the fluffy mayhem.
(Thanks, Rachel, for the heads-up on this one)

Nobody was wounded in Vienna, but a passing street cleaner was very annoyed by all the feathers. :)

This is the third Vancouver Pillow Fight I witnessed and participated in and by far the biggest crowd. It was a hoot.
