Across Europe events are taking place targeting the potential dangers to young people about online Internet exploration while in Britain, the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre [ CEOP ] offers similar. The Business of such protection entails the training of Teachers, Parents and Children as Educational packages reach School desks too BUT what of the Ordinary people whom are duped over the Internet by others using People Identity theft, Company/Organisational shop frontage Identity theft and Copy goods Identity theft?. While the protection of young people is very important equal protection must also be applied to others and especially where Online Business is concerned where trust is diminishing. Its all very well stating that there are resources “out there” in the form of software packages to protect oneself against threats but where is the balance between Businesses Profiting through Sales in dealing with SYMPTOMS while the CAUSES remain intact?. In recent times Students have been financially punished for downloading music over the Internet, they being easier targets [symptoms] rather than dealing with the causes!. Its illogical that one cannot open a shop on the High Street in Britain to sell unlawful goods however over the Internet such a shop could exist whereby the purchaser face legal challenges as to ownership and not the seller as a provider. The Internet is a Public Domain just as the High Street is and therefore if the Police simply target the consumer then that constitutes ENTRAPMENT – In the same way that the Home Office allows prostitution on the Streets leading to the Arrest of car owners whom stop to enquire directions!. Exploitation justifies jobs however it is making everyone in the Nation a criminal for the entry of their particulars, finger prints and DNA onto Databases, such records then being available at cost to others whom then exploit them. British Standards WERE renowned Globally as being Standards for others to deploy but what of them today given that a Government must Educate Young People in protecting themselves Globally while Government Schools issue contraceptives prior to final year School Educational awards?. Just who’s exploiting whom given no standards, disrespect and distrust which has locked_down the Country both Socially and financially?.
