Iraqi Police Find Stolen Picasso Painting "The Naked Woman"
Special Iraqi Police Forces announced that they have recovered "The Naked Woman", a stolen Picasso painting that was looted from the Kuwaiti National Museum when Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait in 1990.
It was seized during a raid on the house belonging to the suspect near the mainly Shiite city of Hillah, about 60 miles south of Baghdad.
The Picasso painting is worth approximately $10 million, although the thief was only trying to sell it for a few hundred thousand when the Iraqi Police found him. An expert from the Iraqi Cultural Ministry confirmed that the stolen Picasso painting was authentic.
The Iraqi government hopes that the recovery of the Picasso painting will help to decrease tensions between Iraq and Kuwait.
The Iraqi government plans to return the painting and other valuable objects to Kuwait in an attempt to resolve the outstanding stolen property and compensation issues between the two countries.

Please don't let the painting return to Kuwait! I'm sure 'The Naked Woman' will be seized by the fundamentalists and burnt! As a Kuwaiti citizen, I have no doubt that those people await the release of this work with impatience in order to destroy it, either on account of its title or its pictorial content. I've warned you...
