Sacha Baron Cohen & Isla Fisher Get Married!

Isla Fisher married Sacha Baron Cohen on March 15 at a private sunset ceremony in Paris, France—6 years after getting engaged.

Fisher, 34, and Cohen, 38, were seen walking through the city over the weekend with their 2-year-old daughter, Olive. Fisher’s ring finger had a gold wedding band next to her large diamond engagement ring.

The couple reportedly had a traditional Jewish wedding with only a select few attendees, all close relatives. Fisher allegedly sent an email after the wedding to friends and family who couldn't attend, expressing her joy and wishing they could have been there.

We did it— we’re married!” Fisher reportedly wrote. “It was the absolute best day of my life and in so many beautiful moments I missed you all so much.

Cohen and Fisher’s Personal Lives

In 2004, after 2 years of dating, Cohen and Fisher got engaged, but had to postpone their nuptials when Fisher got pregnant with Olive. Despite Cohen’s anti-Semitic remarks in Borat, he is a member of the Jewish faith. Fisher converted to Judaism 3 years ago and took on the Hebrew name Ayala.

In a 2009 interview, Fisher said their wedding would be private and media-free.

When you are in the public eye, to keep that private and to make it happen without it being really visible is really difficult,” she said.

Isla Fisher’s Post-Marriage Movie Burke and Hare

They have returned to London, England where Fisher is filming Burke and Hare, a dark comedy about two Irish serial murderers—played by Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis—who sell dead bodies to a Scottish medical school for dissection. John Cleese also has a role in the film.

The film is based on real-life serial murderers William Burke and William Hare, who sold 17 corpses to Doctor Robert Knox to teach students of Edinburgh Medical College.

Meanwhile, Cohen did a guest voice for an episode of The Simpsons airing March 28 on Fox.
