If for Pakistani Muslims Islam is a way of life then they have no right to protest against the Facebook!

As a Pakistani, I am proud of all the great people who live and work in Pakistan. Unfortunately number of these good citizens is rapidly dropping.

A new breed of Pakistanis is taking over the country

If Islam was a way of life for all Pakistani Muslims than the state of the country would be very different indeed. But the current “state of the state” speaks for itself. There is not a single department private of government owned that is corruption free… correction – “that is not completely corrupt!”

All countries and nations have their share of lunatics. Pakistan is a relatively young country that has been unfortunate in the sense that it has had an unstable leadership. With I think three military coups and execution of a popular but controversial Prime Minister, It has gone through a tough time. Religious extremism which is definitely not a main stream issue has taken roots in certain parts of Pakistan.

After many decades finally Pakistan's civil and military institutes are united in stabilizing democracy and eradicating extremism. It is important that at this point world supports Pakistan in its struggle. Instead of pressurizing the government and the people of Pakistan support of every kind must be extended.

Corruption issue has been identified and that is the first step. Media in Pakistan is becoming a strong pressure group. Judiciaary is trying to establish law and legislative standards. These are all positive developments. Once quality of life of people improves, quality of people will also improve. Its the same every where in the world. Tough conditions make people "difficult". Considering the number of terrorist attacks Pakistan has faced in the last few years, it is amazing how people are still going about doing their business. This also shows that terrorists have failed to scare and subdue the people of Pakistan.
