People arriving at Israeli dancers' performance in Chicago greeted by dozens of people wearing bandages smeared with fake blood to represent Palestinian casualties in Gaza
The Chicago chapter of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) began to organize resistance to a local Batsheva performance just as Israel ended Operation Cast Lead in the Gaza Strip.
"We wanted to send the message to the Zionist community that there's no safe haven. It doesn't matter if it's an artistic event, or athletic, or academic - you will have to deal with us and our call for justice," he told the Chicago Progressive Examiner.

I am pleased you put this post up. The ISM should be ashamed of this disgraceful display of ignorance.
Whatever the rights and wrongs of what these people seek to achieve, which I am not prepared to discuss here, I am very surprised to see that they are so bigoted that they cannot see that cultural activity has nothing to do with the conflict.
Moreover the Israeli and Palestinian artists in the Middle East and elsewhere who are fighting hard and courageousy via joint cultural activities to bridge the gap and contribute towards a meeting of the minds would be outraged to learn of this disgraceful incident, perpetrated by bourgeouis and politically-correct "radical" (make me laugh) Americans living in one of the richest cities in the world, who do not seem to have a clue.
Shame on them.
