iTunes 8.2.1 Blocks Palm Pre Synch

If you're a Palm Pre user, and you're prompted to upgrade your iTunes to 8.2.1, then please follow these instructions:

Indeed, the newest version of iTunes will punk your Pre, as it dock-blocks non-iPod devices from synching with iTunes.
If you've already upgraded-- sorry about that-- then all is not lost: there are several easily googlable workarounds.

I agree with this story. Do not upgrade if you still want to use your Palm Pre to sync with iTunes. If you don't care about syncing your Palm Pre with iTunes then go for it and download the new version.
