International Womens Day Celebrates 99 Years!,and to be honest I was not that aware of the occasion,so started searching on the net asyou do,and found a good article that brought me bang up to date with this fantastic celebration. In many countries it is a national holiday and the men give the women in their lives gifts. In other countries it is a time to help those women who suffer at the hands of men; give them a voice, a helping hand, a way to escape their torture and torment.ketiva.com/Society_and_Culture/international_womens_day_celebrates_99_years.html

Thank you for brining attention to the fact that the struggle is not over. If you’re looking for a simple action you can take to celebrate International Women’s Day check out www.Girl2Woman.org. Every time someone shares the videos on the site with a friend, $1 is donated to Pathfinder International to support reproductive health care for women and girls worldwide. Pathfinder is trying to reach 200 thousand video shares by International Women’s Day (today!!) in honor of the 200 million women who want but lack access to contraceptives. It’s an ambitious goal so we need all the help we can get!

Clear DayBODY { MARGIN-TOP: 25px; FONT-FAMILY: Arial, Helvetica; COLOR: #0033cc; MARGIN-LEFT: 10px; FONT-SIZE: 10pt } To the many profound women I am blessed to know, on the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day -thank you for being yourselves, for over-coming the struggles imposed on and over you, met with such tenacious power, grace and determination. Whether the violence of the world found you vulnerable or necessarily guarded, the ghost of sexism lurked around each advancing step you naturally took, each of you sovereign in the dark, a luminous example of mature wisdom in action, leaders, healers and guides to so many others, women, children and boys struggling to be men, compelling us to be ourselves, too. You inspire more from less. May these words hug you in the way you best loved to be hugged, holding with you the vision of each of you dancing wildly free, singing your soul's praise to an ever-listening universe, your tears spiralling between joy and grief, turn to cleansing storms before resting...dreaming your special dream. When you casually roll over to stretch your limbs may a warm morning dew bathe you in gratitude, may you find yourselves once again sitting beside your favourite fragranced flower. When you stand again, stretching out and into the world again, my you be truly refreshed, renewed and ready for another day. May you return as rich, loamy and deserving as the most plant ready soil, possibility reaching desire and becoming-- -that fire in your eyes begging new worlds to begin again and again. With deep abiding love, Robert x
