It was an emotional afternoon on "The Talk" as Sharon Osbourne opened up about her son's recent diagnosis.

The mother of three fought back tears while talking about Jack's announcement that he has multiple sclerosis and said, "Jack will actually be here on Wednesday to talk about his diagnosis, but he's great. He's doing really, really good and I want to thank everyone for all their texts and goodwill and love they send to us…"

The 26-year-old revealed on Sunday (June 17) that he had been diagnosed with the autoimmune disease affecting the brain and spinal cord. That same day, he addressed his fans via Twitter, writing, "Thank you all so much for the kind and inspirational words. It means a lot. #adaptandovercome."

After Sharon's emotional discussion, the 59-year-old Talk host concluded, "And what I'm doing right now is not helping because I'm just feeling sorry for myself, and that is no good. So we just have to think positively and get on with this show that we love."

Jack Osbourne's announcement regarding his recent diagnosis comes just weeks after the birth of his daughter, Pearl Clementine.

The former E! star and his mother Sharon just finished a sit-down interview with People where they spoke about how the youngest Osbourne sibling is dealing with the news. Jack himself admitted, "I was just angry and frustrated and kept thinking, 'Why now?' I've got a family and that's what's supposed to be the most important thing."

Osbourne told Hello! magazine that he was diagnosed with MS by a neurologist last month after losing 60 percent of his vision in his right eye, explaining, "While I was waiting for the final results, I got really, really angry. Then I got really sad for about two days, and after that I realized: 'Being angry and upset is not going to do anything at this point-if anything it's only going to make it worse'".

Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disorder which attacks the central nervous system and can affect muscle control and strength, vision, balance, feeling, and thinking.

According to Hello!, Jack's treatment will include daily drug treatments and holistic therapies, as well as lifestyle changes to reduce stress.

His entire interview with People is expected to hit newsstands on Friday.
