Jack White and Karen Elson to Throw Divorce Party

After six years of marriage, Jack White and Karen Elson are divorcing. Jack White, who fronts the White Stripes, Dead Weather and the Raconteurs, met Karen Elson, a British model and musician, on the set of the White Stripes' "Blue Orchid" video. (Jack White had been formerly married to bandmate Meg White, who would later serve as bridesmaid for Karen Elson.)

The Jack White/Karen Elson divorce is amicable; indeed, they are celebrating with a divorce party in Nashville. If you're reading this online (as opposed to on a printed invitation), you're not invited to the Jack White/Karen Elson divorce party: it's for friends and family only.

In a statement, Jack White wrote, "We remain dear and trusted friends and co-parents to our wonderful children Scarlett and Henry Lee. We feel so fortunate for the time we have shared and the time we will continue to spend both separately and together watching our children grow."

Jack White and Karen Elson will share joint custody of their children, Scarlett Teresa White and Henry Lee White.
