Jackie Chan, the world famous action-film star, is currently making his latest movie in the Baltic country of Latvia. He is the director, script writer and, of course, starring in the main role in the 'Chinese Zodiac', produced by a Chinese film company. Jackie and Frankie Chan arrived in Latvia in Jackie's jet after a ten hour flight from Beijing.

Jackie has spent an entire week filming CZ12 action scenes at 'Aerodium' skydive vertical wind tunnel  in the city of Jelgava (Mittau). (The wind tunnel which blows off winds of 200 kilometers per hour from the bottom was the centrepiece of the Latvian pavilion at World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.) This time Jackie will be not flying using a glider or a plane, not even a hot air balloon, but he will be flying himself in a literal sense. In the air, he apparently will be fighting with one of his numerous opponents. Shooting of each flight episode lasts for one hour with 30-minute breaks.

A crowd of fans has been gathering every day at the fence outside the filming area to personally meet the celebrity. Every evening the actor briefly appeared to greet them. But the Friday afternoon with Jackie's autograph session was a special one. However, there were so many fans that even Jackie Chan got his head in wonder. Local newspapers welcomed the fact that the movie star had not stopped smiling and giving autographs. However, it was announced that due to even larger influx of people Jackie Chan would not provide autographs any longer, so over the next few days, the fans will have to make shift with observing Jackie from a distance.

Contributors of Latvia's online forums underline that Jackie Chan significantly and positively differs from many other celebrities who would hide and use oversized sunglasses to simply skim away from the fans. Any artist who is responsive to fans, will always have a plenty of them, one of Jackie's fans said.
