Jackie Collins' new release, Poor Little Bitch Girl, hits the shelves today. Jackie Collins: you know the name if you've ever been to an airport. Jackie Collins has sold over 400 million copies (that's not a typo), with 30 books in constant print. This is remarkable, considering that she writes about neither boy wizards nor teen vampires.

The trick is that her target audience is forever: is a woman "outgrows" a Jackie Collins novel, which tends to focus on the seamy side of Hollywood, then an young girl is just getting old enough. Well done, especially considering that Jackie Collins dropped out of school at age 15.

"I get a lot of young readers, they come to me when they are like 15, they come to my Twitter account or they come to my Facebook and they [say], 'you know I stole my mother's copy and I read it under the covers and it was so much fun and now I love reading and I am going to read all your books,'" Collins said.

I love Jackie Collins.  I think she is an inspiration.  There is also a Poor Little Bitch Girl theme song that Jackie had made and it's awesome!!!

Every girl who liked reading Judy Blume while growing up will love Jackie Collins. She is my favorite.
