Mario Strack Besides ritual and sporty aspects the dance is even today a practicable way to get close in contact with the other gender. It is also used for self-expression, to show the other bodily advantages and to test personal magnetism. The competition in Jacqueline Ditt's exhibition is not ment as a profane danccompetition or TV-castigshow. In fact it displays the varied possibilties to bring out the best in oneself and after all leave the "court" with a partner.
Mario Strack presents his recent lyrical electro rock ballad "She Said". In a melancholic abstract way it describes a couples live situation, characterized by the interaction of questioning and decision. The subjects for illustrating it in a videoclip were found at the pavement, right on the doorstep. One is quickly driving over it while in between the cobblestones living organisms persist, defiant.
