Cooking is the closet passion of movie star Jake Gyllenhaal, and he's keeping a promise to himself that if his acting career went well, he'd open a top scale restaurant. The organic restaurant venture will star Chris Fischer as top chef.

Gyllenhaall has made regular appearances on superstar chef Mario Batali's hit US cooking show, 'Molto Mario'. An inside source told America's 'Life & Style' magazine that Gyllenhaal and pal Fischer plan to be on the cuisine marquis themselves, and are looking at real estate in Los Angeles for a suitable place.

An insider says, "Cooking is his (Gyllenhaal) big hobby and his passion."

Gyllenhaal may be planning a trip to the land of love and food for inspiration, if reports pan out he's planning a summer vacation cycling tour of Tuscany, Italy with his girlfriend Reese Witherspoon.

Other Hollywood stars who have opened restaurants include Ashton Kutcher, Morgan Freeman, Jeri Ryan and Sandra Bullock and those are just some of the celebrity restauranteurs.
