Actor James Farentino Has Been Released on Bail After Being Arrested on Suspicion of Misdemeanor Battery

Police were called to 72-year-old James Farentino's home at around 6pm on Sunday night according to L.A. Now, after a citizen's arrest was made against the actor. The details around the arrest are not known but it is thought he was trying to remove someone from his house and when the police showed up that unnamed man had visible bruising.

He posted $20,000 bail and was released from jail on Monday morning. He is required to appear in court on July 8 in Hollywood.

An actor since the 1960s, Farentino had a recurring role on the television show "Dynasty" and starred in the movie "The Final Countdown."
