Chris Brown crossed the wrong man, Jay-Z, when he assaulted Rihanna over the Grammy Awards weekend. The rap mogul is apparently extremely angry with the R&B star for abusing his protege Rihanna. No matter what excuses Chris Brown tries to throw around in his defense they are unlikely to be good enough for Jay-Z.
"Chris is a walking dead man. He messed with the wrong crew," the friend added.
Rihanna is Jay-Z's protégé. He found her, took her under his umbrella and made her a star. And thanks to an argument with her boyfriend, she had to spend her weekend in the ER. Let's just say that didn't go over well with the king of hip-hop.
We really wouldn't be surprised if Chris gets a bad beating when he resurfaces. A lot of people are really upset about the whole situation. Note to Jay: we hear he's hiding out in Virginia, just in case that information interests you.
Of course, Jay-Z must be equally unimpressed with the other angle to the domestic assault story, one that has been running rampant on Internet gossip sites since news of the assault broke, that the cause of the violent fight was an alleged affair between Rihanna and Jay-Z. Jay-Z is married to R&B/pop diva Beyonce Knowles, formerly of Destiny's Child.
As if suggestions that Jay-Z was cheating on Beyonce with Rihanna are not enough to set the rapper off there is the added insult that he gave his protege herpes. The exposure to herpes is suspected to be what turned an otherwise calm Chris Brown violent. Hey, if Jay-Z gave Rihanna herpes that then was passed on to Chris Brown, wouldn't Beyonce also be at risk and throwing punches?
The plot thickens in the Chris Brown and Rihanna scandal. Rumor has it that Chris Brown blew up at Rihanna because she gave him an STD - herpes to be exact. Various blogs claim that Rihanna got herpes from a famous rapper and passed it on to her current boyfriend. Guess who the rapper was. I'll give you a hint, starts with "J", ends with "Z". The R&B singer supposedly just started showing the symptoms and lashed out at his girlfriend as a result.
The stories about a Jay-Z and Rihanna affair have plagued the man and his protege for years. Beyonce, who was then his girlfriend and is now his wife, was strangely calm as these rumours circulated a few years ago. Could that be because she knew they weren't true?
Jonathan Hay, Jay-Z funded publicist for Rihanna, has since admitted that he fabricated the affair as a publicity stunt and tells-all about how the rumor made her a star in his book Publicity Stunt - The Art of Noise.
People tend to get their news from blogs and as we all know, most blogs don’t adhere to the standards of journalists. For this reason, publicist Jonathan Hay was able to create the story that his artist Rihanna, was having an affair with Jay-Z to push her single “Pon De Replay”. The rumor made Rihanna a superstar. He also admits that Rihanna nor Jay-Z knew of his plans. Hay is releasing a book titled “Publicity Stunt - The Art Of Noise” which details how he created the rumor. Here are some excerpts from the book:
Jonathan Hay part one: Along with one of my partners, I then began to fabricate stories of Rihanna and Jay-Z, leaking false rumors to tabloids, working internet message boards, etc. We started to get an insane amount of media coverage very fast. There are so many things we did that people don’t even know about, not even Rihanna herself. She was completely unknown and I was paid by Vada Nobles to generate publicity. The mega Island Def Jam deal rumor, we fluffed and fabricated. Rihanna and Vada had no idea what I was doing behind the scenes, but my whole agenda was to get media for the song.
Rihanna has canceled all public appearances in the near future as she heads to Barbados to recover from her injuries. Released from hospital on Monday, nearly 48 hours after the incident, Rihanna is said NOT to be cooperating with police. Chris Brown, Jay-Z and Beyonce are also remaining silent.
"Her fans are traumatized and we've spent so much money on production and promotional materials."
Rihanna was released from the hospital late Monday night and her family is currently making arrangements for her to travel to Barbados so she can recover there.
We're still having a hard time swallowing all this. We can only imagine how Rihanna is feeling right now. Our thoughts go out to her.
A new twist in the infidelity rumor involves British R&B/pop star Leona Lewis. These rumors suggest that it was Chris Brown and not Rihanna who was cheating. The story goes that Rihanna saw Brown flirting with the lovely Leona (who has a fiance) at a party and became enraged. Chris Brown and Rihanna left shortly after and she allegedly struck him, which caused him to retaliate and led to the assault.
Earlier we reported that the attack may have been the result of infidelity on Chris' part and now Star magazine is reporting that hours before Chris' alleged violent outburst, he was seen flirting with Leona Lewis.
“At one point, Rihanna caught Chris flirting with Leona,” says a source. “They were carrying on and laughing, and Rihanna saw Chris with his hand on the small of Leona’s back. It may have been innocent, but that set Rihanna off.”

Whether infidelity by either or both of the stars really was the cause is unknown, and the truth behind the long standing rumor of a Jay-Z-Rihanna affair remains a mystery. Rihanna is not talking to police which is adding fuel to the rumor mill fires, and none of the named parties are talking to the press. Affair or no affair Jay-Z is said to be looking for retribution over the domestic assault. Stay tuned!

I’m a woman and disagree. Of course a man should not ever lay his hands on a woman. And vice versa. But if she gave him a non-curable disease (or any disease at that) then I can see why he went crazy. BUT that’s only if she knew. Yes Rihanna is a beautiful woman and I do like her a lot, but beauty has sh*t to do with a persons mind. She could actually be a vindictive, devious person (same for Chris Brown). Hate to say that about her because I do like her music, but hey God didn’t make everyone pure like His son. So, since no one knows what the hell really happened that night or the cause, leave it alone. Since I wasn't there to know how it started I'm hope both of the youngsters keep their heads up. As for Jay Z, love him but practice on being a good man yourself first cause homie you're on Chris's level (very low). As for beautiful B, if the rumors are true, I hope the disease was not pass to her.

Well if Jigga is mad he has no right to point fingers...what happened to the reporter he beat like a slave!? People forget their own transgressions so easily. If Chris beat Rihanna like that he needs to own up to his actions. Rihanna needs to use this as a springboard in diffusing domestic violence by following through with charges. She is a role model to many young girls/women and she needs to own the responsibility. I like both entertainers but they are not good for each other--Whitney & Bobby, Ike & Tina, or Brenda and Liuonel Richie all had the same demons. This has to stop somewhere, let it be now. Rihanna if you slapped you were wrong but in my eyes it does not justify a beaing. If either one gave the other a std it does not justify anything either. Herpes is transmitted from skin to skin contact. You can get herpes from Fingering a woman. You can get herpes because your leg touched a leg. Its not like most STD's which are transmitted via blood. Because of this Condoms DO NOT PROTECT A PERSON FROM HERPES OR HPV. That's why 70% of the sexually active population have HPV and about 28% have Herpes. And you can Have both so I guess that leaves about 15% of the population without a permanent STD. I dont know about you but if someone who claims to have been my friend and loved me did not give me the option to make an aware decision about something that would affect me for the rest of my life, I would be angry and I would likely beat the hell out of them. But then again I am not a man. And while I do not think its right for Rihanna to have been beaten by Chris Brown. We really don't know what happened. What really happened? No one knows but Chris and Rihanna. Why did it take her so long to give the statement so that she could look innocent and play the victim and try to get him back by sending him to jail? Did she threaten him also? What was her part in it. I mean honestly, he is still angry about it whatever it is it cut deep. I am honestly nuetral. I mean what did she say or do to set him off like that? And someone said blame the victim. I have seen men beat women and think they are totally wrong for what they did. I have seen men beat women and I understood it. And I have seen men restrain themselves against women who I felt needed their ass beat. For example, in the last Tyler Perry Movie when the guy slapped his wife it was justified. I personally would have done more. Even if she gave him Herpes, he had no right or reason to put his hands on her. She probably didn't even know she had it, as must people do not know because it is often present without symptoms. The Herpes information is coming from rumors, as well. Who knows if it is even true?
