Celebrities, magazine covers, and near-nudity have been a media match made in Hollywood heaven since the dawn of print media — so it's not in the least bit surprising that Jennifer Aniston's 'nude' cover shoot for GQ magazine's January 2009 edition is garnering so much attention.

But why does Aniston herself mean so much to so many?

Sure, she had that whole Friends thing, and yes she was married to Brad Pitt for a while, prior to hooking up with the uber-bland John Mayer.

But seriously, Jen, what have you done to deserve so much attention?

Jennifer Aniston wears a tie _ and nothing else _ on the January cover of GQ magazine.
The 39-year-old actress strips down and shows off her toned body next to the headline: "Is it just us or is Jennifer Aniston getting hotter?"

Joking about the relentless media coverage of herself, ex-husband Brad Pitt and Pitt's partner Angelina Jolie, Aniston tells the magazine: "The funny thing is that people don't realize we all go away to the Hamptons on the weekends."

Well, that part is true. We do all go away to the Hamptons on the weekends. Time to go pack my Gucci overnight bag...

hilarious, have you ever seen the "beautiful people" without their face paint and air brush and sleight of shadows? I would shave my dog's rear and make him walk backwards. LOL.

There's only two times in an actors career they pose nude...when they are first starting out and trying to make a name for themselves, and near the end of their careers when they are trying to get people to remember them.

I think it's a sad statement when this happens...sort of gives you the same feeling in your stomach as when the sitcom you watched for so long resorts to adding the "new little kid" to try and 'win back' the popularity of their beginnings.
