Comic Jerry Seinfeld is bringing his talent back to the small screen — not as an actor, but as a producer of a new reality television series dubbed "The Marriage Ref".

The show will feature a mix of celebrities, comedians, and athletes "giving advice to bickering married couples".

So, I guess that makes this Seinfeld's second attempt at making "a show about nothing" — and, of the two, somehow I expect Seinfeld will better stand the test of television time.

Jerry Seinfeld is returning to NBC as producer of a comic reality series where celebrities and a referee try to help squabbling couples make peace.

That's the good news for Seinfeld's fans.

The bad news? Seinfeld said he has no plans to step in front of the cameras for "The Marriage Ref" or, for that matter, to ever star in a television series again.

"It's a young man's game," said Seinfeld, 54. "Nothing could surpass the experience I had."

At least Ashton Kutcher has nothing to do with this one.

This photo was taken on July 25, 2008, outside of the stage entrance of Jerry's "concert" in Orlando, FL, as he exited the building. Only about 20 of his fans were standing outside, waiting for him, and we lined up so that he could quickly go by and sign as many autographs as possible. Another fan gave us a photo that he could sign, and my husband took this shot as he was signing the photo in my hand. Jerry was very nice, but he was definitely in a rush. I wish we'd had time to have a chat with him. :)

Sorry, I thought I was giving info for the picture, not making a comment on the upcoming show.  It sounds like it's going to be a riot, though.  I can't wait to see it. :)
