MTV is celebrating New Year 2011 with its favorite reality star: Snooki. MTV has become synonymous with its breakout reality show, Jersey Shore, so it makes sense for MTV to end the year with a massive fist pump.

 Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi will be dropped from a ball in Times Square as part of the MTV New Year's bash, as other Jersey Shore cast members lead the crowd in an attempt to break the fist-pump world record. Actually, is there a fist-pump world record? Actually, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, there is no existing fist-pump record, either for solo, team, or mass fist pumping. So, just by executing a single guido fist pump, the MTV New Year crowd can enter the record book, but they may want to future-proof it a bit by pumping for, what, an hour.
