Jersey Shore Season 2 Confirmed: Snooki, The Situation and More

Despite numerous calls for MTV's Jersey Shore to be cancelled by Italian American groups, it is now confirmed that there will be a Jersey Shore season 2 as cast member Vinny Guadagnino let slip on Tuesday night. The location has now been confirmed to be Miami South Beach.

There is also a rumor that a new cast member will be brought in for the next trip to the Jersey Shore, as Angelina left so early in Season 1. Vinny couldn't help bragging about his success on Tuesday night:
"They want us to do another season," he gushed to a group of ladies at the "Youth in Revolt" after-party at La Pomme.
The women then asked him to go to another venue, but Vinny replied that he couldn't make unpaid appearances.
The Jersey Shore cast members have been enjoying their new-found fame, Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi is not particular about what clubs she goes to, but DJ Pauly D and Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino cost $7,500 per night and Vinny gets $3,500. Ronnie Margo and Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola often get $3,000 for a double appearance. No word on how much Jwoww commands.
The Jersey Shore has even got its own drinking game, and drama with Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino exposed as a stripper before MTV, but the most drama came from Snooki getting punched in the face by Brad Ferro at a bar.

I LOVE the jersey shore! im a 100% italian and proud, and i dont find the show is offensive at all! For one, its funny as shit, and it cracks me up! All the italian american groups are getting mad at the show calling it offensive, personally i think guido is a lifestyle, not a derrogitory term. they should not cancel it and hopefully will not because mtv is making a killing off this show. theres millions of viewers each week who are in love with it like i am! Vinny is also my fav. I am 100% Italian too and don't find it offensive at all! I live in the New Haven area of Ct and most of the people around here are like that, so it's nothing new. It is very enteratining TV. I will admit that the whole Guido& Guidette thing is a lil obnoxious. That is why I like Vinny b/c he is a real Italian boy from a nice Italian family. He doesn't need to GTL to show of his heritage. But I am a fan of them all.

I stopped reading your comment halfway through just because of how much I disagree. 'Guido' is not a lifestyle its a disgrace and the people who act like it on this show are a disgrace. Plus they make it sound like all Italians behave this way. "When you're Italian you gotta do this, when you're Italian you gotta do that." I'm 90% Italian and I live in New Jersey. I also frequently visit Seaside Heights, where there are no people like on this show. Seaside Heights is a filthy place with tons of freaks (mainly gothic) especially in the boardwalk area. The truth is that the only thing keeping the people on Jersey Shore safe are the cameras pointed at them. Bottom line here is that Italians have always been respectable hard working people who nobody ever tries to fuck with until the embarrassment of this show.
