Jersey Shore Season 2 Episode 1 Recap: Jersey Shore in Miami

Jersey Shore Season 2 Started on July 29 2010: What Happened in the Episode?

The episode begins with a recap of Season 1 - all the fist pumping, gtl, fighting, hooking up, the duck phone, Snooki whining, getting punched in the face, Angelina calling Ronnie dumb, and then Snooki announces the gang is coming to Miami.

MTV uses the same intro from season 1 (we kind of wanted to see a new Miami-themed one, but oh well.)

Pauly D is driving in Rhode Island, talking about how no one can 'creep' in the terrible winter weather and tells us that he is going to pick up The Situation so that they can drive down to Miami together.

We meet Snooki's new 'gorilla juice-head' Emilio and she jokes how she wants 'two balls in her face' (meaning meatballs of course... uh). They are not together now, but he does help her get her fake tan on after Obama put a tax on tanning. She struggles to get her cases in the car and then she's off.

Pauly D picks up The Situation and they have a touching greeting moment.

Snooki picks up Jwoww and they scream and great each other, and Jwoww has packed about a thousand bottles of bronzer.

We finally get to see Sammi single as she is now known apparently and she confirms her and Ronnie broke up. Ronnie is drinking with his buddies who tell him not to get a girlfriend this time and his brother later warns him not to fall in love.

Vinny is once again surrounded by all his family and more food than we've ever seen in our lives, but he's off to Miami on an airplane (no road trip for him). Everyone wants to get to the house first to pick the best beds.

Naturally the talk turns to Angelina and how she may or may not be coming. We then see her saying she is really happy getting a second shot at being in the house. Apparently she has hooked up with both Pauly D and The Situation and gets a brazilian bikini wax in preparation.

Pauly D and The Situation get stuck in the mud and have to call for help so they decide to light some fireworks. The first rescue truck gets stuck so they have to call another truck for help and finally the boys are on their way again. 

Jwoww and Snooki go to a bar in Savannah Georgia where Snooki gets to eat fried pickels and they meet a guy who cannot fist pump to save his life; he actually looks possessed like Snooki says. For Snooki the highlight was definitely the fried pickles. 

Ronnie heads to the airport, so does Angelina in the tiniest shorts we have ever seen. Vinny discusses how many girls he wants to hook up with and it has to be at least one every night.

Pauly D and The Situation arrive at their accomadations first and of course it has a hot tub and three rooms, two with three beds and one with two beds. Unfortunately for them Angelina is the next to arrive and she decides she wants to room with the two boys.

Sammi arrives next and Angelina is already starting drama by trying to get Sammi to say everything is ok and then when it's not, Angelina talks about it to The Situation. He gives her the good advice that she should 'deal with that' right away.

Vinny arrives next and he also wonders what Angelina is doing there and says she has no brains. Ronnie comes in next and has an awkward meeting with Sammi as she still likes him but Ronnie just wants to 'hook up with girls'.

Finally Jwoww and Snooki arrive and they do not even acknowledge Angelina's presence. The girls discuss Angelina being there and how she talked behind their backs but Angelina says she has done nothing wrong. Jwoww already looks like she wants to punch Angelina in the face. Angelina says she doesn't deal with 'fake' people, which is ironic.. but whatever.

The guys get in the hot tub, then Angelina joins them because no one else will talk to her, and Jwoww knocks down the shelf and spills her drink all over Sammi's clothes. Of course the drink gets on her white shorts but luckily Snooki is there to show off her laundry skills in the kitchen sink. Sammi obsesses that Angelina is sitting next to Ronnie, but we don't think she has anything to worry about.

Finally it's time to get ready to go out in Miami! The Situation explains to us that when he says 'MIA' it means Miami in case we were confused. Pauly D orders cabs and the girls go in one and the boys in another.

The boys' cab is totally quiet, but the same cannot be said for the girls' cab. Angelina makes things so awkward when she has an outburst about how no one is talking to her and then Jwoww freaks out. They are not mad about her leaving, but about how she talked behind everyone's back. The noise gets so intense no one can understand what the girls are saying, but Snooki does call Angelina a 'white rat' who is pale and then Angelina says Snooki is too tanned.

Angelina is left at the club by herself because she is 'too classy', while Ronnie gets drunk and him and Sammi start to fight. Clearly they have some issues to work out. They all go to leave, but Sammi and Ronnie get in to another fight (where Ronnie calls Sammi a c**t) and Ronnie gets back out of the cab with Vinny to go back in to the club.

So Pauly D, The Situation, Ronnie, Vinny and Angelina are all at the club and Ronnie decides to 'let out his demons' by dancing with and making out with as many girls as possible, at one point it's two girls at the same time. Angelina is strutting around loving that the girls have left.

The Situation explains that Ronnie is hooking up with 'grenades', which means a bigger ugly chick, and 'land mines' which means a thinner ugly chick.

Poor Sammi is back at the house being sad about Ron who is too busy hooking up with everyone he can. Wisely she says 'not everything ends like a fairytale'.

Who knows if Jersey Shore season 2 will be a fairytale, but it sure looks like there is going to be a ton of drama!
