She and fiance Eric Johnson are still looking for the perfect date for their wedding, but Jessica Simpson says she's already begun the planning process.

The "With You" songstress, who performed at Coors Field last night for military families along with Michelle Obama and Jill Biden, confessed she's excited about tying the knot.

"I am planning a wedding, I mean I'm starting to. I hadn't started until two days ago, I was like 'okay, I'm going to jumble around three dates before the end of the year and see what fits for everybody in my life.' So we'll see what happens, but I know that I'll definitely be married by the end of the year."

As for the perfect wedding dress, Jessica told Extra, "I think every bride wants to design her own dress or at least have a part in it. It won't be like a Jessica Simpson Collection dress."

The 30-year-old singer participated in last night's special military event after receiving a personal invite from the First Lady herself. According to Extra, Simpson recalled being caught completely off guard at the time. "I was pretty shocked. It was like, did she get the wrong number?" Jessica said.

The songstress was joined onstage by Mrs. Obama and in a statement, Jess told the press, "It's a huge honor for me. Just to be there and show my support and say thank you."

Simpson's performance during the Rockies/Mets baseball game was part of the First Lady and Dr. Jill Biden's initiative to honor America's service members. It was also one of the singer's latest efforts to give back to the troops.

According to omg! news, in October of 2010 Jess chatted with soldiers aboard the USS Harry S. Truman during a visit to the Persian Gulf.

After the visit she tweeted, "I'm forever changed after this last week."
