Jessica Simpson's Maltipoo Taken: How Common Are Coyote Attacks?
Jessica Simpson's Maltipoo dog Daisy was taken by a coyote right in front of her in Calabasas, California. A Maltipoo is a cross between a Maltese and a Poodle and Daisy was a present from Jessica's ex, Nick Lachey.
Simpson is keeping the hope alive, though. According to US Weekly, she's distributed posters of her missing dog, and an undisclosed reward is being offered.
People can e-mail findingmissdaisy@gmail.com if they have any information, but how common are coyote attacks on small dogs like Daisy?
Coyotes are a cousin to the domestic dog and the wolf, and they will eat anything from fruit to rodents, but also rabbits, sheep, goats, cats and small dogs. Attacks on humans are rare, but cases of coyotes attacking and running off with small dogs or cats are increasing especially in suburban areas. As the coyotes' habitat is taken away from them, their food source decreases, so they have become more desperate, even snatching pets right out from under the owner's nose, such as in the case of Jessica Simpson and Daisy.
Chances are very slim of Daisy still living after being dragged off by a coyote; they are often not alone and prefer to hunt in packs so the coyote that took the dog will most likely not have been the only one in the area.

It's the kind of dog that whines and yaps too much and offends people with a serious and superior breed of animal. For instance, guitarist Zakk Wylde is a noted Rottweiler owner, a loyal and stable breed, fantastic with children that would disembowel any errant coyote that had enough stupidity and hubris to dare walk into their area. (Zakk Wylde is also known for writing his own songs – something which Simpson is unable to do. Then again, he has talent.) Still, if Jessica Simpson's dog lives, she is offering an installment loans worth for the safe return of her prized pooch.

Assholes like you should be fed to coyotes- what the fuck does Zakk Wylde have to with anything? By the way, Slash has a big Burmese python!! Oh, that ALSO has nothing to do with Jessica's dog. People with sub-par IQ's should not have access to the 'Net, and definitely not be allowed to breed!! Maybe the dingo ate your baby!!

I have a Maltipoo. I am disabled and wanted a small dog that I could litter train. My Maltipoo has been the best dog I have ever had, even better than the lab, the golden retriever, and the Cavalier King Charles spaniels. I feel for anyone who loses a pet, as pets often mean just as much to their owners as their children. I doubt that Daisy is alive at this point, and that's sad.

Don't be heartless. She lost her pet and in a horrible way. It's unfortunate that it happened. I bet the dog was very brave, not realizing how things could turn out. So sorry for your loss, Jessica
