Jim Carrey is on a mission to get 50 lbs fatter for his next role as Curly, in a remake of the 3 Stooges. He looked noticeably heavier while attending an LA benefit with his partner Jenny McCarthy.

It seems like every couple of years, some big shot Hollywood actor intentionally gets fat specifiically for a role in a movie. I just can't see how Jim Carrey can do any justice to the classic Curly character from back in the day. With all the obesity issues in our world today, couldn't they have found a naturally plumb actor who wouldn't need to add on 50 lbs for the role?

"He said, 'You know, I'm going to have to gain 40-50 pounds for this role.' And I said, 'Oh my God! I get to be dating Curly!' That is the greatest thing ever."
