Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan, Avenged Sevenfold Drummer, Dead at 28

James Owen Sullivan, possibly better known as Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan, died of natural causes at the age of 28 in his home in Huntington Beach, California. Sullivan was the drummer and a co-founder of rising metal band Avenged Sevenfold; the band won the Best New Artist Award in 2006 at the MTV Video Music Awards. The band released a statement on their drummer's untimely passing via their website saying,
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan. Jimmy was not only one of the world's best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy's family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time.
Jimmy you are forever in our hearts.
We love you.M Shadows, Synyster Gates, Zacky Vengeance and Johnny Christ
The band was working on their fifth album.
