By now many people realize that Joaquin Phoenix bizarre public behavior including his appearance on David Letterman was a rouse, source material for the Casey Affleck directed I'm Still Here mockumentary.

As part of Phoenix's atonement for fooling Letterman a year and half ago, Letterman,half-in-jest, asked for a million dollars - his "acting" fee for appearing in I'm Still Here.
