This is one of the few subjects for which I cannot provide any photographs (sorry!).

I must say that the story in question appears to be more of a recruitment advertisment for the sex industry than a genuine comment on the current economic crisis.

From jobless to topless in times of recession As a bartender and trainer at a national restaurant chain, Rebecca Brown earned a couple thousand dollars in a really good week. Now, as a dancer at Chicago's Pink Monkey gentleman's club, she makes almost that much in one good night.

The tough job market is prompting a growing number of women across the US to dance in strip clubs, appear in adult movies or pose for magazines like Hustler.

Employers across the adult entertainment industry say they're seeing an influx of applications from women who, like Ms Brown, are attracted by the promise of flexible schedules and fast cash. Many have college degrees and held white-collar jobs until the economy soured.

Like many gigs which don't require specialized education, down economies drive over-qualified employees toward jobs they wouldn't normally consider. I never thought about it in terms of strip clubs, though. Also see Topless Is Popular For Jobless Women and (didn't see this one coming) Strip club in Rhode Island hosts a job fair.
