John Mayer Falls Ill: Cancels European Tour
John Mayer Has Been Forced to Return to the United States After Falling Ill in Copenhagen
John Mayer had a few shows left on his European tour but after performing in Copenhagen on Sunday May 30 he has fallen ill and has been forced to return to the United States.
The singer was supposed to play another show in Copenhagen on Monday May 31 and then continue on to Amsterdam, Madrid and Manchester but the second Copenhagen show and the rest have all been canceled. No announcement has been made yet as to whether the shows will be rescheduled, but contact your ticket provider for a refund if you are a ticket holder to one of these canceled shows.
According to a message on John Mayer's website:
After a sold-out performance in Copenhagen, John Mayer was forced to cancel his second show there on 5/31 due to illness. Regrettably, the illness has caused his remaining European shows scheduled through this week to be canceled as well (Amsterdam, Madrid and Manchester). Ticket holders should apply for refund from point of purchase. Mayer is returning home to the States and a full recovery is expected under a doctor’s supervision.
It is not known what has caused John Mayer's unexpected illness, but his next show is scheduled for July 17 in North Carolina.
