John Quade, Actor Who Played Sheriff Biggs in 'Roots' Dead at 71

John Quade, an actor who was often seen in Clint Eastwood movies, died at 71, as reported  by the LA Times. Quade died during his sleep of natural causes, at his home in Rosamond, near Lancaster.

Well-known films he was in include Every Which Way But Loose, its sequel,  Any Which Way You Can and The Outlaw Josey Wales. Quade also played the role of Sheriff Biggs in the 1977 TV Miniseries Roots.
