John Rich: Too Drunk to Fly Southwest?
Southwest Airlines continues its vendetta against famous people. First, Kevin Smith was kicked off a Southwest plane for being "too fat". Then Leisha Hailey got the boot for being "too lesbian".
Now John Rich from country duo Big & Rich was kicked off a Southwest plane in Las Vegas due to being deemed too intoxicated to fly by the airline crew.

According to TMZ, John Rich got in an argument with some of his fellow passengers before boarding the morning (!!) flight, and continued to "exhibit drunken behavior" after getting on the plane.
To be fair to Southwest, flying in such close quarters with someone who is belligerently drunk is really cruddy. (Southwest planes are like flying sardine cans).
That said, kicking drunk people off of flights leaving from Las Vegas isn't the best way for an American carrier to stay in business.

Just for the record, John Rich PR person has stated there was no "argument or fight" with other passengers. John had had a great time with his fans while doing a show at the Eastside Cannary and was on his way home. Sounds to me SW overreacted again. I follow the drummer for Leeann Rimes on Twitter and he was on the plane when this happened. He tweeted that John was asked to leave the plane and did so peacefully, but he did not know why John was asked to leave. The drummer stated that John was sitting in his seat minding his own business when the SW people approached him. I'm guessing some "Hater" was on the plane and lodged a false complaint and SW overreacted. The question is, if he was drunk and arguing (which does not seem to really be the case) why would SW allow him to board the plane in the first place? The entire incident smells like a set-up to me.
