John Stossel — Put On Your Star of David!
John Stossel, I have heard your argument, which is primarily that discrimination, by privately owned businesses, should be allowed.
In the event that your point of view becomes law, you should agree to include a provision in the law that requires Jewish people to wear the Star of David, and gays to wear a comparable symbol, so that people who would like to exclude those groups, can do so! Otherwise, the law would be unfair, because it would only sanction discrimination against people whose category is visually recognizable, such as physical handicaps, skin color, eye shape, and gender.
If discrimination is to be permitted, it should be ALL INCLUSIVE, giving everyone the opportunity to know which category a person belongs to, so that discriminators can fairly discriminate . . .
So, unless your willing to append your Star of David, and take anti-seminism where you finds it — you should shut up!
