NP Rank:
John Travolta's Son Dead
Associate Press reports from Nassau, Bahamas that Scientology celebrity couple Kelly Preston and John Travolta’s teenage son Jett (b. 13 April 1992) suffered a seizure and fatally hit his head in a bathtub Friday morning while vacationing with his family at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Rand Memorial Hospital, Grand Bahama Island.
And then there's this from a yellowish journalism forum:
June 1, 2007 -- JOHN Travolta, 53, and his wife, Kelly Preston, 44, just announced they want to try for their third child - even while they fall under increasing pressure to publicly acknowledge the disability of their son, Jett.
Travolta has either pretended there is nothing wrong with Jett, 15, or claimed his condition is Kawasaki syndrome, a disease characterized by high fever, skin rash and swelling of the lymph nodes.
But parents of autistic children say that Travolta should join Sylvester Stallone, Doug Flutie, Jenny McCarthy and Toni Braxton, who all have autistic kids, in raising awareness and research funds to cure the disease.
One magazine editor who has interviewed Travolta more than once says that the star's son is disabled - and yet he continues to behave as if nothing is wrong.
Some alleged video proof of Jett Travolta's autism condition on X12video.com. Not convincing to this writer, but too many threads concerning Jett's special needs online to ignore.

Travolta's "religion" scientology teaches there is no such thing as autism. It's founder also made this statment about the disabled.

It really is not just a wacky UFO cult.

I think that people should understand that John Travolta should be allowed, without critisism, to keep his son's life and that of his family private. He has that right! Please leave that family alone!!!
