Jon Stewart Shakes His Fist At Twitter in Daily Show Video
In a hilarious clip from Monday's episode of the The Daily Show, Jon Stewart took aim at the so-called "Twitter Frenzy" by offering a scathingly satirical take on the microblogging site.
In the video segment, Old Man Stewart Shakes His Fist At Twitter, Stewart and Daily Show correspondent Samantha Bee take Twitter to task for its allegedly silly format, mundane content, and eager adoption by everyone from media personalities to high-ranking politicians in the U.S. Congress.
It's one of the finest and most funny attacks on Twitter in recent memory, and will be sure to prompt the quick domain registration of fake sites mentioned in the clip, including: Vowellr, Stalkr, and Gruntr.
To quote, Ms. Bee: "Oh damnit, my stalker just grunted on my twitter."
UPDATE | 12:33pm EST — Viacom has taken down the video from YouTube. U.S. residents can view the video at Comedy Central
UPDATE | 3:25pm EST — Canadians can view the video at The Comedy Network (select clip #2)
