Josh Hartnett Hospitalized With Stomach Problems in Los Angeles

Josh Hartnett, 31, has been hospitalized with stomach problems in Los Angeles. The gastrointestinal problems are believed to be a reoccurence of a pre-existing condition that also impacted Hartnett in 2008. Hartnett's publicist is not saying more about the actor's medical condition but he is reported to be doing fine and is currently under observation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA.

Publicist Susan Patricola says Hartnett was transported by ambulance at 1:45 a.m. Monday to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

She says in a statement that he "is under observation but is resting comfortably."

Patricola says Hartnett had a flare-up of a gastrointestinal issue that affected him while he was starring in an onstage production of "Rain Man" in London last year.

No other details have been provided.
