Jurassic Park--for real!

So, Dubai--you want to open your own Jurassic Park as part of the Vegas-style City of Arabia development. Sure, you may call it Restless Planet, but we know the score. All we have to say is this: Dude, Dubai, seriously. You're totally going to populate your new dino theme park with females thinking they won't breed. But they will evolve and learn how to be males, and breed. And the fences will break, and Jeff Goldblum will hurt his foot, and you'll be standing there clutching your mosquito-in-amber cane, watching everyone get eaten and chased by raptors. Way to go.

Called Restless Planet, the theme park will be home to the world's largest collection of animatronic dinosaurs. The T.rex is the first to be completed of 109 robots, which are being built in various shapes and sizes to resemble more than 40 different extinct species.

Once finished, the dinosaurs will populate displays emulating a range of prehistoric habitats in the glitzy, US$1.1-billion (A$1.3-billion) park, currently under construction in Dubai, part of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Oh, robot dinosaurs...that's different. That's--TERRIFYING! Now we won't be able to stop them from taking over. First Dubai's City of Arabia, then the world!

good stuff:

I like how the T-Rex was the priority... Diplodocus, Triceratops, Pteranodon, and the rest of the gang will just have to wait...
