Just Wondering....
1. Where are Brad & Angelina and all the rest of the Hollywood celebrities holding telethons asking for help in restoring Iowa and helping the folks affected by the floods?
George Clooney was certainly vocal about "celebrity abuse" at the hands of papparazzi, but he nor any of his cronies have stepped up to the podium to speak for the hundreds of thousands of people who have lost everything they own, and have worked for for the past 20 or more years. But as long as we know about Brad & Angie's new twins and 23rd adoption of a needy child in another country (no one told them about the 130,000 children available for adoption here in the U.S.)

2. Where is all the media asking the tough questions about why the federal government hasn't solved the problem? Asking where the FEMA trucks and trailers are?
They're is on the sidelines because the news isn't glamorous enough -- not like a juicy story about Charlie Sheen's voicemail message left for his ex-wife three years ago. No, investogative reporting does not fit into today's journalism business model of info-tainment.

3. Why isn't the Federal Government relocating Iowa people to free hotels in Chicago?
It used up all its housing funds by spending $1 billion a week to put our sdodiers and other personnel up in Iraq.

4. When will Spike Lee say that the Federal Government blew up the levees that failed in Des Moines?
Because Spike Lee is concerned about one person and one person only: Spike Lee.

5. Where are Sean Penn and the Dixie Chicks?
They have careers, after all.

6. How come within 2 weeks, you will never hear about the Iowa flooding unless you read the last pages of the newspaper?
See #2 above.

Jules236, I like this story. It's good stuff. Guess it looks like the Farmers are on their own, but then Iowa was never considered a Tourist Hotspot.   Funny how people set their daily lives on what celeb's are doing.   Just wait till the California brush fires hit, will we see Katrina victims rally over to Beverly Hills to help?
