‘N Sync
After a successful three years with the “Mickey Mouse Club” Timberlake was ready for something new. Justin recruited fellow “Mouseketeer” JC Chasez to start an all-male singing group managed by Lou Pearlman. Timberlake and Chasez served as the lead singers of the group and were joined by backup singers Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick to form ‘N Sync.
The group formed in 1995 and hit it big in the US in 1998 with the release of their debut album “*NSYNC” which sold 11 million copies. After the release of “Celebrity” the group decided to take a break from performing and making records. This would eventually lead to ‘N Sync breaking up for good but not before the popular boy band won two Diamond Awards, four platinum home video releases, and multiple platinum awards for the group's records as well as nine Grammy nominations.
