Justin Timberlake Talks Jessica Biel & Britney Spears
He's on top of his game after killing it on "Saturday Night Live" last month, and Justin Timberlake recently chatted with Vanity Fair about his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears.
The "Cry Me a River" stud began, "I wish her the best- that goes without saying. We haven't spoken in 9 or 10 years."
"We were two birds of the same feather '" small-town kids, doing the same thing. But then you become adults, and the way you were as kids doesn't make any sense."
"I won't speak on her, but at least for me, I was a totally different person. I just don't think we were normal; there was nothing normal about our existence. We spent way too much time being the biggest thing for teenyboppers."
As for his most recent ex Jessica Biel, Timberlake was more coy, stating, "I would rather not talk about her, because it's hurtful for me."
"She is the single-handedly most significant person in my life. In my 30 years, she is the most special person, O.K.? -- I don't want to say much more, because I have to protect things that are dear to me - for instance, her."
The "Friends With Benefits" star later hinted at the possible reason behind their break-up, telling Vanity Fair, "I think the mistake is that people commit to who that person is right then and not the person they are going to become."
He continued, "That's the art of staying together, is changing together. When you say it like that, it seems damn near impossible, right?"
When asked his thoughts on the concept of marriage, Justin told the mag he's still making up his mind. "If that's what it takes for two people to make it official, then yeah, but I think that my generation looks at marriage differently."
Still there is one thing the "SexyBack" singer is certain about: his desire to have children and start a family.
"I do [want a family]," Justin said. "And as little as six months ago I wouldn't have even thought about that, but now it feels like a closer planet orbiting around." (omg! news)
Until that happens, Timberlake has his red-hot movie career to keep him busy. His comedy "Bad Teacher" co-starring Cameron Diaz hits theaters on June 24 while "Friends with Benefits" with Mila Kunis comes out on July 22.
