Doctor Who star Karen Gillan was found in the hallway of the Ace Hotel in Manhattan after a big night out. The redheaded Scot was apparently extremely drunk... and naked. Hotel staff sprung into action, not with phonecams but with a towel. They draped Karen Gillan and escorted her to her room. Gillan was apparently in quite a state, described as curled up in a ball, naked and whimpering. Not good.

It is unclear whether the hotel guest who found Gillan thought that she was a Terminator, but it was clear that she was having trouble finding her room. That's when hotel staff were alerted.

As connoisseurs of shameless pandering, we're shocked that no Karen Gillan nude photos have emerged. That's definitely not the norm in such a celeb-driven media environment. We must applaud the Ace Hotel staff if indeed they managed to keep Ms. Gillan's exposure from getting overexposed. That said, we're on the lookout for fake "Karen Gillan nude" pics, as they will inevitably pop up.

You know what, though? If you can't get naked at a high-end Manhattan hotel, then where can you get naked? Always party responsibly: if you're not a celeb, you may not find yourself with a support network of strangers. Then again, phonecam pics of your jank will be less sought-after. So it's a trade-off.

Karen Gillan and Matt Smith were in New York to promote Doctor Who. If Smith took the opportunity to say, "Come along, Pond!", he'd probably have gotten the smack he'd have deserved.
