Kate Major Quits Star Over Jon Gosselin: Hailey Glassman Upset

Kate Major, a reporter for Star Magazine, has quit her job over her new found love for Jon Gosselin, of Jon and Kate Plus 8, and said that her job at the magazine is a 'conflict on interest' over her love for the dad of eight children.

Star magazine reporter Kate Major has professed her love for Gosselin, just five days after they were first photographed leaving Upper East Side restaurant Accademia di Vino.

"I didn't mean it to happen; it just did," Major, 26, said. "I went to do a story on Jon and ended up falling for him."

Jon however, complete denies the story:

Jon Gosselin says he never had a romantic relationship with Star magazine reporter Kate Major and was tricked by her, sources close to the situation told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

Now it's unclear whose story to believe:

"Oh my God, I can't believe she did this to me," he told a source. "What do I do? She's totally (bleeping) me over?"

Meanwhile, current girlfriend Hailey Glassman was shocked to find out that Jon was out with Kate 2.0 (as Kate Major is being called), and told People Magazine, 'that's news to me'.

It was only a few days ago that Glassman gushed about her relationship with Jon.

"This is perfect. It just fits," she told PEOPLE. According to Glassman, she developed feelings for Gosselin while he was staying at her parents' house after his split from his wife Kate Gosselin.

She insisted that she loves Jon and that Jon still loves her.

However, he was seen holding hands and looking lovey-dovey with Kate 2.0 in Southampton, and they are both staying with Michael Lohan, Lindsay Lohan's father.

"Jon is a friend, he's a great guy, he needed a place to get away to, and my doors were open to him and Kate Major," Lohan told People.com. "Jon and Kate [Major] are good friends of mine. She's with him [at Lohan's house]. Kate's like a daughter to me. When she needed a place my doors were open."

The couple also had dinner with Jill Zarin and her husband, from the 'Real Housewives of New York' and Jill had this to say about the couple:

"He didn't seem smitten. They weren't all over each other. But they're definitely dating. It came up in conversation," Jill Zarin said. "She had her hands on him. But she's young. This is a girl who is going to want to have babies. Does he really want to go out with another young girl and have kids?"
