Rumors of an early summer engagement between Prince William and Kate Middleton are almost too loud to ignore, as many major media organizations are reporting that a proposal is a near certainty. An article by journalist Tina Brown in the Daily Beast pointed out that there was a two-day opening in the royal schedule on June 3 and 4, presumably for an engagement celebration.
Other organizations, including CNN and The Today Show, have hopped on the engagement bandwagon.
What has long been a royal whisper – that Prince William is prepping to pop the question to Kate Middleton – is now a roar so loud that the Palace is seeking to quell it, reportsCNN and, as can be imagined, nearly every newspaper in the U.K.
There have also been rumors that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, will be making an official visit to Plymouth, southwest England on June 3rd -- coincidence?
Kate Middleton Prince William Engagement Rumors Refuted
Speculation about the engagement has gotten so loud that the officials for Williams are coming forward to shoot them down. William's official residence, Clarence House, told CNN that they didn't comment on speculation. Other officials have stated that any plans for an engagement for the prince are 'wide of the mark.'
Also, Prince William will be on a training course in Wales for training as a search and rescue helicopter pilot, a career he is pursuing, on the supposed 'engagement days'. Prince William, 27, and Kate Middleton, 28, have been an item since 2001.
